Plot: “Startup” is set in South Korea’s fictional Silicon Valley, called Sandbox, and tells the story of people in the world of startup companies. Seo Dal Mi dreams of becoming Korea’s Steve Jobs. She’s an adventurer who doesn’t own much but has a grand plan for herself. She also has experience in a wide range of part-time jobs and is a person of great vitality. Nam Do San is the founder of Samsan Tech. He was once the pride of his family as a math genius, but for the past two years, he’s been going nowhere with his company’s investments. It turns out that Seo Dal Mi remembers him as her ‘cool first love’, and he decides to begin a startup in the hope of turning Seo Dal Mi’s misunderstanding into reality.

Circumstances lead Gang-tae to work at the OK Psychiatric Hospital in Seongjin City, the same city where they all lived when young. eanwhile, Ko Moon-young forms a romantic obsession for Moon Gang-take after finding out their pasts overlapped. he follows him to Seong-jin, where the trio slowly begins to heal each other’s emotional wounds. As the story progresses, more is revealed of their intertwining pasts, which have been haunting them.

The bully’s father runs restaurant business Jagga where Sae Ro Yi’s own father works. CEO Jang Dae Hee demands to Sae Ro Yi that he apologizes to his son, but Sae Ro Yi refuses. Because of his refusal, he gets expelled from school and his father gets fired from his job. Soon, an accident takes place. Sae Ro Yi’s father dies in a motorcycle accident caused by his ex-classmate Jang Geun Won. Burning with anger, Sae Ro Yi viciously beats Jang Geun Won. He is soon arrested and receives prison time for violent assault. Sae Ro Yi decides to destroy the Jagga company and take revenge upon CEO Jang Dae Hee and his son Jang Geun Won. Once Sae Ro Yi is released from prison, he opens a restaurant in Itaewon, Seoul. Jo Yi Seo, who is popular on social media, joins Sae Ro Yi’s restaurant and works there as a manager.
